Solar Systems. 
Q. What are the advantages to having solar panels?
A. There are no emissions, your carbon footprint is reduced massively and best of all once the panels are installed its free!

Q. Will it work in the UK? 
A. Yes. Solar Panels work off solar radiation not sunlight, the UK gets more than enough.

Q. Will it work if its Cloudy?
A. Yes, see above.

Q. Will it work if its raining?
A. Yes it will still work but with reduced output.

Q. If I go on holiday in summer what do I have to do?
A. Nothing the system is self controlling.

Q. Do I still need my boiler?
A. Yes your boiler acts as a backup and it needs to raise stored water to 60 degrees.

Q. What if an evacuated tube breaks?
A. The system will still work. There will be no leakage of transfer fluid.

Q. Do I need planning permission?
A. In most cases no.

Unvented Systems. 
Q. What are the advantages of having an unvented system?
A. There is no cold water storage tank, high flow rates without any additional pumps, equal pressure between hot and cold taps.

Q. Does it need servicing?
A. Yes we check on the pressure vessel and safety valves on an annual basis.

Q. Will it give me poor flow if I have more than one bathroom?
A. No, if you have adequate water pressure you will have no problems with your flow.

Q. Is it like a combi boiler?
A. No, a combi boiler has reduced flow rates.

Air Source Heat Pumps (Ecodan). 
Q. How can it be more efficient than my boiler?
A. It uses outside air temperature as heat, even down to -10 degrees. Then it converts this to usable energy .

Q. Will it work in older properties?
A. Yes as with all energy efficient systems you have to consider insulation and draughts.

Q. Does it need servicing?
A. Yes on an annual basis.

Q. Will it heat my radiators as well as hot water?
A. Yes or it can be split so its possible to just have the heating only. 

Underfloor Heating. 
Q. Why is it more efficient?
A. It runs at a lower temperature as the floor slab retains its heat and there is no wasted heat at ceiling height giving up to a 15% saving.

Q. What if it leaks?
A. It wont, but should you nail through a pipe it can be repaired.

Q. Can my existing boiler run this?
A. Yes - but not as efficient as the Ecodan Air Source Heat Pumps.

Q. Can I have carpeted floor?
A. Yes but low tog values.
